Ye Olde GT Talera Update / 1

Some things are about to happen. Time for some modernization of Ye Olde GT Talera. It's the bike that will never die. Steel is real and all that. As you can see, there is a fork in the pic. Yep I'm going back to the orig rigid fork, which I actually still have because I did not know if I was gonna dig the suspension forks I installed via SOPO Bicycle Coop probably like 20 years ago. Glad I had presence of mind to keep them! The suspension forks are fine, but old, and most of the riding I do on this bike doesn't really require suspension. I'm mostly switching back to rigid because a front rack is part of the long term plan for this bike, and I think I'll have more mounting options.  Here is a pic of what's about to be installed/swapped/updated. NOTE: yep, we're doiung V-brakes. We all know how much I don't like V-brakes, but these ones from BOX may change my mind. The cantis that are on the bke now are okay but the kools stop pads are crap, the back brake hasn't been right since my last pad swap. Let's Go!
